I do not support the Bill as…

I do not support the Bill as currently drafted. In particular I am opposed to the following provisions under the section "Targets, Plan & Progress Reports":
- The Bill does not specify that the emissions targets to be set and/or revised by the Minister will be lower than current levels.
- The Minister should not have the authority to establish and revise the climate plan through Order in Council only: public consultation and debate in the legislation should be required.
- The Bill should specify a schedule for reporting on and making revisions to the climate change plan.
