A price on carbon emissions…

A price on carbon emissions is vital to promoting clean and renewable energy. It is a tangible, effective way to force producers to change their habits and innovate.

This is considered the first step by many climate experts in order to start immediate cut-backs of greenhouse gas emissions.

The UN has now confirmed that the Paris Climate Agreement has not be fulfilled by its members, and a 1.5°C increase in global temperature is still expected to take place.

Rather than taking ground-breaking action for a conservative government, you are throwing away Ontario’s opportunity to make meaningful change in the climate crisis. As a young Canadian, I am appalled by my governments inaction.

We are at a tipping point. This is no time to waste. No opportunities for ‘better’ climate plans. No real way to make us green without paying a little extra.

Show some leadership, and make the hard decisions.
