I am outraged by the cancellation of Ontario's cap-and-trade program. This program provided market-based solutions that are vital to help address the crisis of climate change. It also provided money to everyday Ontarians through rebate programs. My family was planning to buy a hybrid car and replace the windows in our house in the coming years -in large part due to the cost savings of these programs. The cancellation of the cap-and-trade program now puts these goals out of reach and the local small businesses will not benefit from our spending.

This government claims to care about everyday Ontarians like my family, but only puts forward ridiculous policies like buck-a-beer, using the notwithstanding clause to settle old score on Toronto city council (an issue that NOBODY cares about in the rest of the province), and suing the federal government. They are completely out of touch with the issues that matter to regular middle class families like mine.
