I am very angry to see that the spring bear hunt might become a permanent hunt, because even a shorter one is Cruel and Heartless!. It is unethical to all hunting of bears with cubs. Since hunters often cannot determine male from female bears this damage is inevitable with hunting. This does nothing to reduce problem bears except to reduce overall numbers. It is a backward step.

I do not support the spring bear hunt or the timing of it because there is no protection for female bears with cubs. There is a lot of misinformation about the danger of bears but what's really dangerous is the hunter. Lire davantage

I as an avid environmentalist I fully support reinstating the spring black bear hunt. The hunt was cancelled in 1999 by Mike Harris and the PC government of the day for no other reason then political pressure they received from animal rights groups. Lire davantage
