hi Mister Doug Ford, Please leave the animals alone! By planning on building houses on the GreenBelt, you are taking away the animals' homes. Please don't, because I really love animals and can't stand the fact that their homes will be destroyed. Sincerely, Summer

I would strongly advise against the new Greenbelt Plan given its implications for the purpose of our net greenhouse gas emissions. To build houses, appropriate transportation accommodations need to be made, of which a new 413 highway alone could result in 17.4 tonnes of avoidable emissions by 2050. Lire davantage

Hi Premier Doug Ford, Please leave the Greenbelt for the animals and farmland. Climate change is an ever-growing crisis for humans, and housing makes up 23% of greenhouse gases of our province. If we continue the destruction of our environment, we'll only suffer. Lire davantage

The proposal to remove 15 areas of land, 7,400 acres, from the Greenbelt north of Toronto and to add 9,400 acres of Paris Galt Moraine lands is like removing pieces from one part of a jigsaw puzzle and tacking them onto another! Lire davantage

I am concerned about paving over more prime farm land that's close to the city. Vegetable/retail farmers need arable land close to the city in order to access their markets. Changing the Greenbelt creates a precedent and a disregard for boundaries. Lire davantage

Please please do not touch the green belt. It is truly devastating watching how many forests be destroyed due to the housing industry. In my 25 years of living, the past 5-10 years there has been a huge increase of animals present in our residential areas (coyotes, deer, etc.) and why is that?! Lire davantage

I fundamentally disagree with this amendment. The design of the green belt was to hold the land for non-development purposes, especially when there are housing pressures or other preferred uses for the land. It is high value agricultural and wildlife land and it should be held for that purpose. Lire davantage

Do not do it. The greenbelt is protected land to protect our ecosystems, many of which are already dying, endangered, or in danger. Use the space we already have allocated to development or build up, in the north. Protect the greenbelt

It is not appropriate to remove protected land from the Greenbelt for the purpose of development -- this land and the ecosystems it supports are critical. Doug Ford's unscrupulous and corrupt dealings with developers to rezone this land blatantly lacks integrity and is a clear conflict of interest.

Dear Premier Doug Ford, I am only a young girl who is aware of the harm that Bill 23 possesses. First of all, I believe that the solution for housing is not to take protected land to build on. Lire davantage

The completion of 45,000 houses on land previously designated as protected from development will do virtually nothing to alleviate the housing crisis in Ontario. It will provide 3% of the 1.5 million homes Ford has decided are required, not much more than a rounding error. Lire davantage

As a science teacher and resident of Ontario, I cannot in good conscience support any construction on a moraine, especially in an area registered for protection from development. Lire davantage

Premier Ford agreed not to develop the Greenbelt when the people of Ontario sent him a loud and clear message. He needs to uphold that promise and scrap Bill 23. The Greenbelt is too important for protecting our drinking water, absorbing CO2 and providing fertile soil to pave it over. Lire davantage
