I strongly oppose the rezoning of the 15 areas of land which have previously been designated as part of the Greenbelt, for use in housing development. The Greenbelt was established to protect farmland and ecologically sensitive areas (e.g. Oak Ridges Moraine). Lire davantage

Lies! That is what the Ontario Government is trying to pass on to it's citizens. The Land Preserve was in Perpeturity and now it's being stollen away. Dont tell us it is mostly flood plains. Why would homes be built on flood plains anyway. Lire davantage

The Greenbelt should be protected land, promised to be left untouched and now that is changing. This proposal does not in any way indicate how homes will be actually made built fast, better or AFFORDABLY. It just takes away protected land that Ontario should be proud of. Lire davantage

I believe that development on these lands is environmentally irresponsible and that there are better solutions in existing developed lands that would not require construction on environmentally important lands like wetlands, which serve important ecosystem functions and roles like creating oxygen an Lire davantage

I am completely against reducing the Greenbelt to build houses. Building houses on the Greenbelt is absolutely wrong as it takes away significant and precious ecological and agricultural resources that can never ever be recovered again. Lire davantage

I find it very troubling that the Ford government is taking vast swaths of our Greenbelt to build new homes most of which will be unaffordable for the very people most in need of them. Moreover, there are lots of lands outside of the Greenbelt that could be used instead. Lire davantage

I am deeply concerned at your plan to pave over the green belt. This swath of land provides 53 per cent of Ontario’s fruit and 11 per cent of Ontario’s vegetables; it also consists of Class 1 agricultural lands. Lire davantage

I would like to register my very strong opposition to the Ontario government’s plan to remove lands from the Greenbelt. I live in Hamilton, so my comments pertain specifically to the lands marked for development in Maps 9, 10, and 11, although the same principles apply throughout. Lire davantage

We believe the proposed changes will harm native Ontario wildlife species and their habitats and will undermine the province’s commitments and accomplishments for biodiversity conservation and climate change mitigation and adaptation. Lire davantage

I’m writing to you today in support of the Greenbelt, Conservation Authorities and Ontario’s wetlands, woodlands and other natural areas. Firstly, I am writing to state my opposition to the proposal to remove 7,400 acres of land from the Greenbelt, which was revealed on November 04. Lire davantage

This government's decision to amend the greenbelt is an appalling contradiction to the values of Ontario. Doug Ford is aware of this, as he reassured voters multiple times that he would not touch this land. The greenbelt is immensely important to Ontario for many reasons. Lire davantage

The municipalities of Toronto and Mississauga have already expressed very real concerns, backed by a paper trail of evidence, that the More Homes Built Faster plan, combined with scathing off pieces of the Green Belt, will have adverse financial effects on citizens including a significant rise in pr Lire davantage
