This bill is non sense. We need bike lanes everywhere. It is the environmentally friendly thing to do and the safety of Ontarians lies in bike infraatructure. I support cyclists and reduction of cars everywhere. Keep current bike lanes and make more.

The removal of bike lanes makes absolutely no sense in the name of “reducing congestion”. It’s baseless and puts cyclists and pedestrians at risk. Bike lanes have been integral to commuting for me and has made getting around the city easier and safer. I do not support this bill.

As a resident of Toronto who has lived here for over 10 years, I am vehemently oppose this act. Once again, the Ford government is proposing legislation that is not based on any robust researched evidence or what’s best for his constituents but rather on his own personal business interest. I absolutely oppose this bill. Environmental accountability cannot be bypassed for the sake of all Ontarians. As for bike lanes, the research shows them to be a net benefit. I both drive and bicycle in Toronto, and am happy to share the road.

This makes ZERO sense. Studies show that creating more bike infrastructure eases congestion overtime, and it makes communities and cities more pedestrian friendly and bike friendly. It also encourages more activity, community interaction, healthier air - the benefits are so strong. Lire davantage

As a recreational cyclist, and motorist, and pedestrian, I strongly oppose the framework for the bike lanes and the highway 413 in its current form. Lire davantage

This policy will kill people in this province and worsen the crisis of road violence, please do not proceed with it

Removing bike lanes will cause higher rates of serious injuries and deaths while not improving congestion/traffic.

This will not reduce cyclists. This will put more pedestrians and cyclists in danger and create more motor related deaths. This is not the answer.

This is a poorly thought out, haphazard piece of legislation that ignores decades of actual transportation planning research. Bike use is the fast growing form of mobility in the region, owing mostly to new bike infrastructure. Lire davantage

Bike lane infrastructure is so important to the health and safety of a community. We should be encouraging the growth of bike lanes and safe biking as part of the solution to reducing gridlock traffic. The more people who feel safe biking, the more who will. Lire davantage

Bike lanes are necessary to keep transportation affordable and bikers safe, do NOT get rid of them.

I think this bill will not be productive for the growth of Toronto. We should be prioritizing making faster trains so less people are reliant on cars. Building more lanes and more highways will only make the car traffic more congested and less safe.

This act is counter to the data. More lanes of traffic don't reduce traffic. Bike lanes, trains, and public transit reduce traffic and congestion. Please focus on those things. Lire davantage

The safest I ever feel on my bike is when I’m using a bike lane. There’s no argument here to be had. Toronto drivers are known to rarely signal and you will hurt more people and cause more harm without bike lanes.

Seeking provincial approval for where municipalities choose to implement bike lanes is a GROSS overreach of provincial power and controlling municipalities. Lire davantage

Bike lanes help to reduce congestion and save lives! Bike lanes also help to improve business (ex. Uber eats drivers).

First on bike lanes, we can't reduce our carbon footprint unless we increase the percentage of trips we take using carbon efficient transportation, such as bikes, transit and electric vehicles. Creating a safer means of travel for bikes will have the positive effect of increasing bicycle use. Lire davantage

Removing bike lanes will not reduce cyclists. Removing bike lanes will: increase the number of preventable cyclist and pedestrian deaths, increase vehicle congestion, and limit mobility access to all Ontario residents.
