This is a tone deaf move that maybe 10% of the population or less would agree with Ford is not the mayor of Toronto and should leave the issue of bike lanes to the municipalities. Lire davantage

I am extremely disappointed with this proposed legislation. This government is backward thinking and is preparing Ontario for the problems of the 1990s instead of the 2030s. Lire davantage

Doug has said even one bicycle death is too many. He has said he has felt unsafe riding a bike outside of a bike lane. Yet he wants to remove safe bike infrastructure precisely where people have died THIS YEAR. Such a hypocrite.

Removing bike lanes will increase gridlock, as bikes will travel in regular traffic lanes, as they are considered vehicles. Removing bike lanes will increase gridlock and cause major delays.

Maintaining safe practices within the city while promoting safer means of travel, both biking and public transportation, are incredibly important to the well-being of Ontarians. Lire davantage

This bill is infuriating. My city (Brampton) already has been slow to adopt new bicycle lanes, which are absolutely required when drivers aren't paying any attention to the cyclists. Lire davantage

Adding my voice in support of removing the Yonge Street bike lanes. For the main reasons already noted, namely increased traffic congestion most of the day, and underuse of the lanes by cyclists. Plus....winter. This has been the case since they were installed. Lire davantage

Removing bike lanes will only increase gridlock as cyclists are forced into lanes with vehicles. The only way to reduce car traffic/gridlock are viable alternatives to driving. It’s that simple. What a pants on head stupid bill this is.

It is difficult to form a specific complaint about bill 212 because every aspect of it is a negative change for the province. Lire davantage

Bike lanes reduce driver anxiety. They're over there, in their own lane, and a driver doesn't have to worry about hitting a vulnerable cyclist. Reduce the gridlock by expropriating 407. This will get a huge number of vehicles off the 401. Be smart. Show that you can be practical.

Stop the corruption. Let municipalities decide on municipal issues. Doug Ford and the ontario conservatives are using this bill to distract from the actual issues affecting the province. Shame.

Hello, I feel this is an overstepping of the provincial government on how municipalities choose to invest in infrastructure. Ultimately if citizens are upset at a bike lane that council approved then they have the civic right to not vote for those individuals in upcoming elections. Lire davantage

Bike lanes are so crucial to saving lives. Please consider allowing increasing bike lanes. Saving time for motorists commutes is a pathetic excuse.

I find this proposal is counter productive to the situation the world is currently living. We are living in a climate crisis when we're trying to reduce emissions. Removing bike lanes is absolutely ridiculous in this climate. Lire davantage

This is terrible legislation on multiple levels. First, it is an absurd overreach of provincial power. Why is the province wasting its time and resources micro managing municipalities? Second, ripping out existing bike lines is just a stupid waste of money. Lire davantage
