Ontario. Stop failing us. Support municipal decisions so we can travel better, safer, easier. They know the specificities of our community needs in a way you just can't! They are working to improve things for us. Why aren't you? Lire davantage

This is a waste of money and an abuse of power. The bike lanes already exist, why would you try to remove them? Lire davantage

This government makes many mistakes but this is one of the dumbest yet. Removing bike lanes will have no impact on traffic flow. In other jurisdictions this has been documented many times. GTA traffic problems are caused by inadequate transit choices and construction. Lire davantage

Removing bike lanes will be counterproductive for the stated goal of reducing gridlock. Those commuting by bike will still need to travel. They will do so either by bike in the main lane (both disruptive and dangerous) or pack the streets in cars. Lire davantage

Bike lanes should be a city responsibility. Cities have their own experts and long term studies focused on this specific problem. The province should not involve itself in decisions of the city. It is over reach. Furthermore, requiring the removal of bike lanes by cities is costly and un necessary. Lire davantage

This is a totally unnecessary proposal trying to justify itself with reasoning that is unsupported by data - bike lanes dont cause traffic, cars cause traffic. Lire davantage

Your decision to remove bike lanes arbitrarily is short sighted and pro car. Instead of working with municipalities to come to a solution for congestionsDoug the thug is being heavy handed. Why don’t you concentrate on improving public transportation. Lire davantage

I believe this bill is a massive overreach of provincial jurisdiction and is fundamentally flawed in it's application, lacking any data-driven policy. All available evidence points to bike lanes reducing gridlock and most importantly, saving lives. Lire davantage

The removal of the Bloor, Yonge and university bike lanes will result in deaths of pedestrians and cyclists, and do nothing to ease gridlock. Lire davantage

Dear Doug & team, I want the bike lanes. They help traffic, keep people safe, improve the environment, etc. Keep existing bike lanes and let municipalities choose where to build more! Lire davantage

Bike lanes are an integral part of the City of Toronto. They allow residents to get wherever they may be going quick and efficiently (not to mention environmentally). The added bike lanes have made it much safer for people to ride their bikes, DECREASING the amount of cars on the road. Lire davantage

Nike lanes are important infrastructure that fight climate change, reduce traffic, increase user health, and contribute to the bustling, tourist-friendliness of our cities. Lire davantage

If passed, not only will this bill make cycling more dangerous in the city of Toronto, but also possibly increase gridlock by tacitly encouraging more people to use their cars to get around. Lire davantage

I do not support removing the bike lanes. They move more people in less space, they reduce congestion and increase safety for riders and drivers.

I implore the government to listen to the experts here. There is no basis in their claim that it is singularly the bike lanes on these three roads causing congestion. There is a complete lack of understand of how proper analysis would and should be carried out. Lire davantage

This makes zero sense. Bike lanes reduce traffic, by removing potential car drivers from the road. Getting rid of bike lanes, makes it unsafe to bike in the city, and makes it more likely people will drive instead. Lire davantage

Bike lanes, bikes, and other alternative modes of transportation reduce gridlock. THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT'S TRANSIT PLAN LITERALLY INCLUDED THE BIKE LANES IT'S NOW APPARENTLY PROPOSING TO TEAR UP. What are we even doing here?????
