I strongly oppose the removal of bike lanes or needing to get approval from the province for new bike lanes. This won't fix traffic, but will add safety issues for both cars and cyclists. Where do you want cyclists to ride? In front of cars? Lire davantage

Hi, There is evidence that cycling lanes do not slow down traffic. See link below. Please put more thought into the design of the streets, intersections, and sidewalks. Toronto needs more complete streets to improve quality of life in high density areas. Lire davantage

I strongly believe Bill 212 is not in the province's interests and is a large overstep of provincial jurisdiction in an area of decision making best left to municipalities. For this reason alone, it will lead to poor decision making and hurt Ontarians. Lire davantage

Requesting permission from the government for street-level changes in municipalities will slow down development of better streets. Does the provincial government have the resources in place to review the flood of requests for removal and bike lanes additions across the province? Lire davantage

I bike with my child everyday to school and work, removing the safety of bike lanes would force us back into cars, and increasing traffic, and increasing commute times. I am 100% against the removal of bike lanes

This is a terrible idea. Please don’t do this. Safe bicycling infrastructure has been shown to encourage more people to choose cycling, which is a non-polluting, healthy mode of transportation. Lire davantage

The bike lanes are the only way to get into downtown in less than an hour from our home. It is a 20 minute bike ride an hour on TTC and an hour by car. Lire davantage

I'm writing to express my strong opposition to Bill 212. This bill is not only a massive step backward for our city but a direct threat to the safety and well-being of cyclists, pedestrians, and drivers alike. Lire davantage

The Provincial government has no business in municipal affairs! In addition, bike lanes save lives, and allow people to travel and commute in ways that are efficient and sustainable. Lire davantage

I commute weekly to work by bike. I take Dundas Street, a four-lane street that does not have bike lanes. Despite this, Dundas Street is regularly congested due to - construction - cars and trucks parked on the side of the road Lire davantage

This misguided proposal fails to note well-researched evidence that eliminating bike lanes and widening city streets would 1) not improve congestion, and perhaps even increase it, 2) result in more injuries and deaths of cyclists and pedestrians, 3) discourage alternative forms of transportation, an Lire davantage

This is such a bad short sighted action. Reverse the decision. We need alternatives to more cars. Put more money to public transportation.
