Other than everybody knows how bike lanes makes for safer biking, and that many cannot afford car or TTC anyways- removing them will not change this fact, I have to understand why in 2024 we still allow non residential car to enter the downtown core. Lire davantage

In a time of deficit budgets, this bill seeks to spend provincial funds wasting the already spent municipal money. In a time of high cost of living, this bill will remove affordable transportation options from families. Lire davantage

This bill is called Reducing Gridlock, Saving You Time Act -- an ironic name to an Act which seems the be based on ill-informed and bias opinion, rather than based in facts or on any traffic studies. Lire davantage

Bloor and Yonge st will never have enough space for car users. There are simply too many destinations and intersections. Yonge st in particular has a laughable amount of cars compared to the majority of space they're taking from pedestrians, cyclists, and mobility scooter users. Lire davantage

You say return the lanes to a traffic lane but they weren’t traffic lanes before. They were parking spots. This doesn’t make any sense. I will not vote for you.

Have you read any of the research and studies on bike lanes? They benefit business, are good for the environment, reduce congestion and save lines. I don’t understand the logic behind removing them. It makes no sense. Build more transit and bike lanes. Lire davantage

I am writing to ask the government to reconsider the proposal of Bill 212. Bicycle infrastructure is more sustainable, safe, and beneficial than continued car dependency to the future of the City of Toronto. Lire davantage

I am someone who has lived in Toronto and driven, biked and taken transit for over a decade. I can confidently say that the only efficient way I ever found to move across the city is on a bicycle. I'm also someone who has been doored by a car (driver was found at fault). Lire davantage

As a residents of Toronto Ward 11, University-Rosedale, we do not support the City of Toronto's motions to maintain dedicated bike lanes on major arteries, including Yonge Street. We are in support of Bill 212 in its entirety. Please remove the Bike Lanes from Yonge Street as soon as possible.

This legislation reduces municipalities' ability to autonomy from the province, as well as provides a block for any bike lane construction to places where traffic volume doesn't meet the road's carrying capacity. Lire davantage

We should not decide whether to convert bike lanes simply based on motorized vehicle traffic impact. There are other metrics that this should be balanced against including safety, pollution, and quality of the shared space.

Bike lanes provide a safe space for me and my family and they are essential infrastructure that enable more transportation options. When I drive it’s also simpler not to worry about cyclists.
