I am not in favor of this proposed act. It will remove much needed safe pathway for biker to travel around the city. This proposal will bring mych more death and accident in our community.

I am a resident of Toronto, a cyclist, public transit user and occasionally drive a car. The ontario government’s views on transportation are outdated. Stop listening to angry boomers that hate cyclists for no good reason.

Thorny problems have historically presented themselves throughout our life times. Such is the issue of fossil fuels and the detrimental impact they have had and continue to present to our weakening environment. The increasing frequency and intensity of storms, floods etc. Lire davantage

Please do NOT remove bike lanes in the city of Toronto. Bike lanes are essential infrastructure for my family - I regularly bike to work, to get groceries and my family bikes along the Danforth and Bloor Street to get to various stores, restaurants and events. Lire davantage

Bike lanes are essential to cyclist's safety! I disagree with this proposal. We need less cars on the road, not more.

Removing bike lanes will endanger my life and those of my loved ones. Research has repeatedly shown that widening roads makes congestion worse. We need to dramatically reduce carbon emissions, and encouraging people to bike is an important part of this reduction. Lire davantage

Bike lanes are vital to the future development of the city, and to prevent its current and future development is detrimental to the city and its future. It is clearly evident and understood by urban planners that cycling is needed for safer, heathier and efficient traffic flow. Lire davantage

Let the municipalities decide the bikelanes. The new bikelanes in Toronto are great, and make cycling better and safer all year long. We do not need Doug Ford's moronic anti-environment, anti-Toronto war on bikes.

As a Toronto resident I disagree wholeheartedly with this proposed legislation. As both a frequent driver and cyclist in the city, I am keenly aware of the benefit of bike lanes to road users. Removing bike lanes will not improve traffic and will negatively impact vulnerable road users. Lire davantage

I live just off of Bloor West and I use the bike lane down Bloor every day to get to school. I can’t afford to take public transit and the bike lane has been amazing to use. Lire davantage

Fast-tracking highways and restricting bike lane installations are not part of a sustainable future. These actions are not based on the health of Ontarians, nor the health of the planet. Anything we do do to REDUCE the use of cars is a step forward. Lire davantage

There is no justification for this - other than the obvious one of whipping up sentiment and votes, which is absolutely deplorable, given that making more road available for traffic will simply lead to more congestion and be a disservice to the very people whose votes are being courted. I strongly oppose the propositions outlined in Bill 212. Removing bike lanes will not improve the flow of traffic, and is likely to have the opposite effect due to the increase in trips taken with a car. These decisions are not being made based on data. People's lives are being put at risk. Lire davantage

This misguided piece of proposed legislation will endanger lives, compromise economic development, and increase emissions from transportation. It should not be passed into law. Research has conclusively proven that bike lanes are an asset to communities for several reasons: Lire davantage
