This will absolutely negatively impact my ability to stay fit and healthy - I bike to work year long. I take bike lanes daily, multiple times a day. This is safer than the alternative- on shared roads. The increasing deaths from drivers frightens me. Lire davantage

Encouraging cycling instead of driving makes our cities livable, walkable, attractive to tourists, and more sustainable for the long run. Lire davantage

Do not close any bike lanes. This is the most affordable and convenient way of getting around the city.

I support maintaining and further developing Toronto’s bike lanes! Cyclist safety is incredibly important, and moreover, bike lanes have been shown to reduce both traffic and emissions. The process of removing them would also cause further traffic delays in an already construction-filled city. Lire davantage

I have lived along the Danforth for 40 years now and for 40 years I have biked to work. I am sure that the mental heath and physical activity benefits of biking all these years have helped keep my health care expenditures down. Lire davantage

This proposed legislation is an absolute joke. If Prabmeet Singh Sarkaria and Doug Ford wanted to have a say in how Toronto municipal streets are managed, they should run for Toronto City Council. Cars cause congestion. Lire davantage

I am a Toronto resident who lives in the West End and works downtown. I do not own a car and rely on the TTC, walking, and my bike to get around. Bill 212 is not an evidence based way to improve traffic in the city and support the movement of all residents. Lire davantage

Bill 212 is going to cause several problems. It’s going to hurt the environment as it will increase the number of cars in downtown Toronto, resulting in more CO2 emissions, and air pollution for everyone who lives and works in downtown Toronto. Lire davantage

I have started biking to my office located in the downtown core every day since the summer because of the city's new protected bike lanes, in particular the ones built on College and University. Lire davantage

Bike lanes are a critical ingredient in building more sustainable, efficient, and enjoyable communities. In addition to moving people more effectively than single occupancy vehicles, they also generate more jobs per dollar during construction and boost property values of adjacent properties. Removing functioning effective transit infrastructure is a regressive waste of money. I bike, walk and drive in this city. When I drive, it is enormously helpful when the bikes have their own lane. When I bike, I feel much safer when I have my own lane. Lire davantage

I object to this proposal, and find the government's promotion of it disingenuous and reprehensible. Lire davantage

This is a ridiculous and wasteful idea. Every study shows that bike lanes improve traffic rather than make them worse. Lire davantage

Removing the bike lanes is quite the irresponsible decision from the government. It will now be so much more dangerous for bikers in Toronto with no change in car traffic because it was always be there. Lire davantage

I think it's vital to keep and expand bike lanes in our cities! As a 29 year old, my main method of transportation is a bike and I need clear bike lanes throughout the city to carry out my day-to-day activities.

This is detrimental to current residents and future generations. We should NOT be prioritizing cars in the city. Politicians are not equipped to be making these decisions and should defer to those who have an understanding of city systems. Lire davantage

Ontario's **Reducing Gridlock, Saving You Time Act**, which aims to improve transportation infrastructure and reduce traffic congestion, is a proposal that may sound promising on the surface, but upon closer examination, it reveals several flaws that could worsen the problem it seeks to address and Lire davantage

Terrible idea. Low IQ move considering cars (parking, induced demand, construction) is what causes congestion. This is also a way to shoe horn the removal of environmental assessment for the highway construction and taking away property rights.
