It is profoundly discouraging that the current Ontario government proposes to scrap the carbon tax. This is a necessary step for de-carbonizing our provincial economy and the funds will provide support to many important platforms. The recent IPCC report should terrify everyone. Read more

I am deeply concerned with the results of the recent UN report on climate and feel strongly that eliminating this cap and trade program without creating a substitute that incentivizes carbon reduction and punishes carbon excesses will result in accelerated global destruction and mass death. I do not support the repeal of cap and trade. I also do not support the removal of the carbon tax. These are both effective measures at reducing green house gas emissions. It is vitally important that government's act in a responsible manner towards the climate crisis. Read more
