Birds are extremely important to human existence. Removing any protections to them would have devastating consequences to us. I think we need to create more laws to protect birds, all animals and nature, not the opposite. Read more

There is nothing confusing about the current legislation. It is not too rigid. It is just rigid enough to protect species and their habitats from being eradicated. These species are important to the environment of Ontario and Canada as a whole. I am firmly against these proposed changes. Read more

I voted for conservative party, Ford, this past provincial election. I normally do not vote for conservative party. I felt that Doug Ford would be best for ontario vs trump. I am wondering now if I made an error. This proposal, Bill 5, is not agreeable for me. Read more

This is a step backwards for Ontario and Canada as a whole. We should be leaning harder into conservation efforts, not repealing them. Canada is one of the last vast wildernesses left in the world, we have so much to lose. We should be protecting it at all costs. Read more

I don't think unleashing the economy should come at the expense of the environment. Removing environmental protections is a short sighted tactic. If we want the beauty and environmental diversity to last for the generations to come, we need to protect what we have and not do more damage. Read more

This is unacceptable. The protections to endangered, threatened and at-risk avian in Canada is already at an all time low given out rate of economic growth and consequential destruction of habitat, species, and biodiversity. Read more

This initiative is an unnecessary decline in conservation efforts. There are ways to build that won’t destroy the ecosystem, and it’s disappointing that the government is showing too impatient to try and do so. Read more
