This government over reach is completely unreal! If there is nothing to hide with doing the environmental assessment then let it happen!! This community deserves better and the fact that the government thinks it’s ok to just make these rules up as they go is completely unacceptable. Read more

I understand that garbage /waste has to have a place to go. But to put it so close to a town where people live and rely on the water ways is very dangerous and wrong. Not one person who is for this mega dump would want it anywhere near where they live. Read more

We cannot let a dump/landfill pollute this key area for biodiversity. We cannot forgo an environmental assessment for economic gain. The economy will always be fluctuating, we will never be able to repair damage done by polluting this ecosystem. Read more

We the citizens of Dresden SAY NO TO THE DUMP. We strongly oppose it. There MUST be an environmental assesment to protect the people who live here as well as all of our endangered species in Molly's Creek, which flows into the Sydenham River. Read more

I strongly oppose the removal of the Environmental Assessment (EA) requirement for the proposed landfill in Dresden, Ontario. This site is 500m from homes, 800m from a school, and sits above the Kettle Point aquifer — linked to the 2021 Wheatley explosion. Read more

It is essential that the Environmental Assessment requirements promised by the Conservative Government prior to the election remain intact. The health of our communities, ecosystems, and water sources must take priority over the expedited approval of a landfill. Read more

I STRONGLY oppose bill 5 and the attempt to remove the environmental assessment for this proposed landfill. The residents of Dresden worked incredibly hard for this assessment to be approved and feel that it is entirely too close to our town to not have this property assessed. Read more
