I would ask that communities planning to build homes use the Green home building model to make sure homes are safe, energy efficient and meet local building standards. Please do no cut corners in reducing the cost by not following these guidelines. Read more

Wind studies must be part of the process for builds in urban areas. It is a matter of public safety to ensure that those in the completed structure, as well as those who travel within the footprint of the structure may do so without fear of injury or damage. This is essential. Read more

Please keep your hands off municipalities' Green Development Standards. We're in the early stages of climate breakdown and things are going to get much worse. Building much better should be an imperative shared by all. Please fix Bill 17 before passing it. Read more

Green development standards are an important part of Ontario's action on climate change, which is becoming more serious every day. I strongly urge you to allow municipalities to continue requiring and using all reports/studies needed to meet their Green Development Standards (GDS). Read more
