I would ask that communities planning to build homes use the Green home building model to make sure homes are safe, energy efficient and meet local building standards. Please do no cut corners in reducing the cost by not following these guidelines.

Wind studies must be part of the process for builds in urban areas. It is a matter of public safety to ensure that those in the completed structure, as well as those who travel within the footprint of the structure may do so without fear of injury or damage. This is essential.
