The Ontario Building, recently updated in 2024 and issued in 2025, has not harmonized with the National Energy Code for Buildings and is actually using old 2017 energy efficiency values from the previous 2012 Ontario Building Code, SB-10 update. Read more

I really believe we need to build more homes and make planning simpler in Ontario. I also believe we need to work to fight climate change by helping cities build homes that are affordable and strong. Speeding up building is great but it shouldn't be done if it will reduce quality and safety. Read more
