I’m deeply concerned about this bill and what it means for Ontario’s biodiversity and future generations. Weakening protections for endangered species is short-sighted and irresponsible. These laws exist to prevent irreversible harm. Once a species is gone, it’s gone forever. Read more

I am against the appeal of ESA 2007, and the implementation of SCA 2025, as well as Bill 5 as a whole. I am against the proposed change to only protect 169 species, all 271 species listed in SARO need to keep their status. Read more

The endangered species act is not worth repealing. It is going to cost more in the long run to rectify all the environmental damage that’s being planned. We need to seriously look at the financial cost of losing bio-diversity and ecosystems, which will affect our food and water supply. Read more
