Please do not remove species off of the SARO list. Habitats in Ontario are already subject to destruction- it is well beyond the time that we leave remaining habitat alone while trying to restore what we can. The SARO list and the Endangered Species Act is crucial to protect Ontario’s wildlife.

I do not support this proposal. Rather than significantly weakening protections for species at risk, this government should be safeguarding biodiversity, respecting Indigenous rights and ensuring local communities benefit from the ecosystem services that nature freely provides. Read more

Doug Ford and his crony-ism is systematically paving over our province. As a result, my children will not experience the same sense of wonder and connection to nature that I had has a child. Read more

Repeal Bill 5! It’s so important to protect endangered species. Removing 106 at risk, endangered species from the endangered list is highly irresponsible. Our children will pay for this irresponsible behaviour. Please protect our future by restoring protections for the natural world.

I oppose Bill 5. Removing species off the endangered list is not the way to protect our future so that we push through more development. The key to a sustainable future is development while preserving nature.

Please consider that animals, especially endangered ones have no way to protect themselves from a lot of changes humans make to the ecosystem. These bills that protect endangered species are some creatures only line of defence from human interference such as construction and pollution.

As an Ontario resident I am very opposed to the removal of the Ontario Endangered Species Act. It makes no ecological sense, and will only act to harm an already precarious and delicate system, which is already facing many threats from human encroachment and climate change. Read more
