I oppose the changes in bill C5. There are 106 endangered species that are at increased risk of extinction if they are removed from the endangered species list. This will have a lasting impact on our environment. Repeal bill C5.
I do not support this proposal. Rather than significantly weakening protections for species at risk, this government should be safeguarding biodiversity, respecting Indigenous rights and ensuring local communities benefit from the ecosystem services that nature freely provides.

We are in an environmental crisis, it is vehemently irresponsible to remove legislation protecting endangered species. The federal government has already demonstrated it's lack of action towards protecting green spaces and it cannot be trusted to ensure the protection of these species.

I oppose these changes, am in favour of repealing bill 5, and for restoring protections for nature. The endangered species list should not be cut from 271 to 169 just because those species are protected federally. This is not a justifiable reason for them to be removed from provincial protections.
