Although Special Economic Zones (SEZs) are unlikely to apply within the Town given it is almost entirely urban, the proposed changes raise concerns about broader environmental impacts. Land, water, and air are shared resources, and their degradation does not respect municipal boundaries. Read more

I strongly oppose these changes. Economic interest should not be placed above the health and well-being of ecosystems and endangered species. Additionally, these proposed changes were not conducted in consultation or with approval from the Indigenous Nations who will be impacted. Read more
