I oppose the proposal to limit the creation of new bike lanes in the province as bike lanes are a critical part of our transportation infrastructure in urban areas in Ontario. Read more

I am opposed to Bill 60. 1. It strips cities of local authority and decision-making, even when projects are supported by evidence and local residents. Read more

"Fighting" delays with more induced demand and prohibiting alternatives to driving expensive cars, with expensive maintenance costs? No thanks! Stop Bill 60 at once!

I use bike lanes in Toronto several times each week. They make a huge difference to my experience of cycling in the city, and especially my confidence about getting around by bike. The expanding network in Toronto is a source of great satisfaction to me. Read more

Please do not pass this bill! Study after study shows that bicycling is better - on pretty well every level - in urban environments than driving, and other studies show a dramatic improvement in life/balance when a lane is removed. Don't be a Republican! Read more

Safety of the roads and seeing a zero vision future, from my view, is only possible by allowing flexible lane changes for all transportation modes. Read more

I support bike lanes. As both a driver of a car and a bike rider to commute to work I know the importance of having road safety for everyone. I've experienced cars encroaching into my space when on a bicycle to threaten me off the road. As a driver I have witnessed this being done to others. Read more

This is a ridiculous overreach by the province that seems primarily motivated by spite. What a waste of time and effort that could be better spent elsewhere. Removing bike lanes does nothing to reduce gridlock. Best way to reduce gridlock? Fewer cars on the road. Read more

Please do not pass this bill. This will WORSEN traffic, not make it better, according to your own experts. You should want FEWER cars on the road, not more. Where do you think the bikers and people on public transit will disappear to?

I think it is extremely important to leave control of the use of roadways to local communities. They know their community and its needs and goals best. Top down control by the province is counter-productive. Control of regulating construction projects, which have an enormous impact on traffic! Read more

Please make our roads safe for everyone. Building more roads and providing more car lanes does not improve traffic. Less congestion means less cars on the roads. Build better infrastructure for micro mobility. Provide more bike lanes and better transit. Thanks you Read more

This is outrageous. To dictate how each city, municipality should approach new bikes lanes is an abence of democracy. This is a blatant overreach by a government who doesn't understand or even care about citizens and their participation . Read more

Can you please, just for once, focus on important issues, like properly funding healthcare and education, rather than spending millions of dollars on saving commuters a few minutes on their commute?! Seriously, this is pathetic. Read more

I object to the provisions of bill 60 that limits the use of roads by motor vehicles only. It threatens other uses of road space that communities rely on, including transit priority, safe crossings, patios, curbside access, and school streets. Read more

I am writing to let you know about my serious concern with this bill and the impact it will have on bikes lanes, transit lanes, and other important street infrastructure like patios. This government is obsessed with meddling in business and making it harder, not easier to build. Read more

It strips cities of local authority and decision-making, even when projects are supported by evidence and local residents. It will worsen traffic congestion, not reduce it. The government’s ownexperts have consistently said that bike lanes are not a cause of gridlock. Read more
