As a cyclist commuter this bill threatens to continue to reduce the use of bike lanes in Toronto and other communities. People need to feel safe riding or they will not ride. Fewer riders will just result in further congestion. Read more

We should be expanding new bike lanes. This bill limits the rights of municipalities. It strips cities of local authority and decision-making, even when projects are supported by evidence and local residents. Read more

As a resident of Toronto I heavily disagree with proposed amendment that would restrict city from removing car roads when designing city infrastructure. City is a living and breathing urban structure that needs to adapt to ever-changing life around. Read more

I would like to formally note my opposition to the legislative changes focused on severely limiting municipalities in planning their own active transportation plans. This legislative is limiting the ability of municipalities to create more livable, affordable and pleasant spaces for residents. Read more

Please do not block new bike lanes from being built! The Ontario government has no business telling the city what to do. I ride my bike all year long and also own two cars. Biking is hands down the best (cheapest and healthiest) way to get around the city. We need to stop catering to car culture. Read more

I'm writing to protest against Bill 60, because it is not based on evidence! This bill will not fight delays because cars cause delays and not bikes. More people on bikes make roads faster. More delivery people on bikes instead of in cars, make roads faster. Read more

It strips cities of local authority and decision-making, even when projects are supported by evidence and local residents. It will worsen traffic congestion, not reduce it. The government’s ownexperts have consistently said that bike lanes are not a cause of gridlock. Read more

This is truly one of the most regressive bills I've seen in my lifetime. Prohibiting Vehicle Lane Reduction for New Bicycle Lanes? Why stop there? Why not prohibit new sidewalks too. That could be used for half a lane of snarling traffic. Read more

The planet is dying. The future is renewable energy, transit and bicycles. A lot of cities in Europe understand the issues at stake and develop their cycling infrastructure. Why would Ontario go back on progress? And more to the point, STAY OUT OF MUNICIPAL AFFAIRS. Read more

Modern transport should not only include cars and trucks. It should also prioritize sustainability and help reduce global warming. All over the world, people are trying to move forward by using bicycles or reducing vehicle use. But why focus solely on vehicles? Read more

Hi I think this bill is irresponsible, as is any ligeslation that has generalizated rules for complex issues like mobility. Bike lanes have many to commute and feel safe while doing so. Read more
