I am nearly 85 years of age and still use my bicycle for recreation and for errands. I am very disappointed that the Ontario government is prioritizing the polluting private automobile over other cleaner and much more efficient means of transportation such as walking, cycling and public transit. As a woman who uses bikes and cars for transportation and recreation and a proponent of allowing municipalities to make their own decisions regarding safe transportation infrastructure, I strongly object to this Bill's over-reach. Read more

This is provincial government overreach to issue and a step back in the wrong direction. Let municipalities evaluate and decide how to serve the transportation needs of their constituents best.

Bill 60 is not "pro" car, it's anti-cyclist. As the Premier already knows, viable alternatives to driving, such as cycling and public transit, are the ONLY way to reduce congestion and improve grid-lock. Read more

I'm a professional driver (delivery/rideshare) and I oppose this bike lane restriction. My job depends on efficient routes and predictable traffic. Bike lanes help me by: 1. Keeping cyclists out of the lanes I need to use 2. Making traffic flow more predictable (no sudden swerving around bikes) Read more

I live in the suburbs and drive downtown regularly. I oppose this proposal. When I drive into the city, I need alternatives to reduce the number of other cars competing for road space and parking. Bike lanes provide this by giving people who live downtown an easy way to get around without driving. Read more

As a commercial truck driver, I'm opposing this proposal for safety reasons. Cyclists in my blind spots are one of my biggest fears. When there are no protected bike lanes, cyclists ride beside or behind my truck where I can't see them. This is terrifying because I never want to hurt anyone. Read more
