Earlier this year, Ontario’s new premier Doug Ford passed Bill 4, the Cap and Trade Cancellation Act, with no public consultation. Luckily, it was delayed thanks to Greenpeace suing the government and forcing a public consultation (Wechsler, 2018). Read more

Clean energy is the only way forward. Going back on cap and trade is irresponsible and does not represent the best interest of Ontario residents. Being a leader in the clean energy industry has more economic advantages than hanging on to a dying industry. Read more

I'm sure by now you have heard the UN climate report staring that climate change is becoming far more real than anyone imagined - the dangers and risks have increased significantly and we could legitimately lose our planet earth VERY soon. I do not have any children of my own, but ten months ago I became an aunt, and my little nephew now represents to me all the children who will inherit the Earth our generation will leave behind. Since I read about the IPCC climate report this week, I have had trouble sleeping. Read more

It is 2018 and the evidence is clear that climate change is real. Yet this newly elected government seems determined to want to pretend it is 1998. It took significant effort to commit to the changes and there is no reason to cancel our plans. Think about where we are and the future.
