Climate change is real and it's man-made. Putting our heads in the sand doesn't make this problem go away. The government's scrapping carbon pricing is a terrible idea. Change from industry is always going to be market and monetarily driven. Read more

I am outraged by the cancellation of Ontario's cap-and-trade program. This program provided market-based solutions that are vital to help address the crisis of climate change. It also provided money to everyday Ontarians through rebate programs. Read more

Cancelling Cap and Trade in Ontario might be the worst, most shortsighted idea I've seen relating to environmental policies. This government has provided no other solutions or alternate activities to address climate change by reducing carbon emissions or any other greenhouse gases. Read more

I DO NOT support the cancellation of the Cap and Trade program in Ontario. The current government has been misleading in it's public comments about this program being a tax which it is not. We can no longer afford to do nothing about the environment and climate change. Read more

The repeal of the Cap and Trade program is highly irresponsible given the irrefutable evidence that human actions are the cause of climate change. There is no longer any debate about the harm we are doing to our environment, and we need legislation to prevent further damage. Read more

Putting a price on carbon is essential to reduce green house gas emissions. Calling it a tax is a conservative trick. A company is not allowed to just dump their garbage anywhere they want. They pay a company to pick it up and dispose of it in an environmentally way. Read more

Companies must be held accountable and responsibe for the damage they do to our environment. Encourage them to be creative and respond to the environmental crisis in new ways instead of letting them off the hook and offloading the consequences to the next generation (my generation). Read more

It is critically important that we, as the most populous Canadian province and a leader in so many ways, lead the fight on climate change. To me, that means reducing GHG emissions and becoming more reliant on newer energy types that have less environmental impact like renewable energy. Read more

I ask that the Government of Ontario works to create a plan that will significantly reduce the emissions that we produce as a province. Such an initiative is crucial to our ability to live on this planet, and now is absolutely the time to act. I would personally support a high carbon tax.

I am highly concerned that this province has absolutely no plan to combat pollution and climate change. Cancelling programs is not a plan. I question whether the new premier even believes in man made climate change and if he does, does he just not care? Read more
