It is most important to protect the drinking water of municipalities and residents who may be negatively affected by aggregate pit extractions that compromise their ground water and below ground water sources. This should be the primary focus of any amendments to legislation. Read more

I guess that means I can apply for a permit to build a shed but build a mansion and that’s ok? We have more than enough quarries in Muskoka. They should be allowed to continue but until there is a true need for more aggregate let’s leave our environment alone.

My family has owned a 100 acre farm property in Puslinch Township since 1965. During that time we have seen extensive aggregate extraction and what these same companies leave behind on these once beautiful rural properties is disturbing. Read more

This seems to be another case of Doug Ford ramming a bill through without any consideration of anyone's thoughts on the subject except his business cronies. I am totally against this. We have been against the quarry in Rockwood because of ground-water and traffic issues. Read more

We in Simcoe County which includes Tiny are overwhelmed with the amount of aggregate mining occurring in our area. Our water comes from the Alliston Aquifer, one of nature’s last and purest sources of water in the world as documented by Dr. William Shotyk. Read more
