The Ontario government will end up passing this bill and it will hinder municipalities ability to properly plan for/pay for growth. This bill is shortsighted and was created when a so-called “housing crisis” was going on. Read more

I have zero interest in seeing more suburban sprawl of unlivable, poor quality of life mid tier housing that is hardly affordable to begin with and only leads to expansion of car culture. The housing crisis is not in shortage of suburban houses. Read more

After reviewing this legislation I can only conclude that the results will enrich developers and force municipalities to increase their tax rates to cover the revenues they will lose that currently pay for the building of roads and other infrastructure needed to support growth. Read more
