I do not agree with these proposed amendments. We should not be touching the Greenbelt. It has been assigned for a purpose and needs to be protected. Either we reduce the number of houses The government proposes to build or move development somewhere else outside of the GTA.

I do not support - our Greenbelt needs to be protected. This does not solve the housing crisis, but creates a much larger and widespread issue. This is not a solution.
This is disgraceful.
Once lost, these are lands we can never get back. Urban sprawl needs to be controlled and the Environment needs to take a front seat with our government for once.

I highly disagree with this. The rules set in place are there for a reason, if we keep developing we will eventually be more reliant on unnatural sources of oxygen and food. Stop the urban sprawl. Keep ontario green!
The fact that this is even up for a chance is offensive to us and the generations that come behind us. Stop trying to line your own pockets and actually do the right thing instead.
I do not support the development of housing in the protected Greenbelt area. This development does NOT help in making low income housing available to those who need it, but instead makes Doug Ford’s developer friends richer.

This proposal does not address several reasons behind the need for increased housing, such as the unregulated real estate industry. The driving up of costs in all sectors including housing and construction while supply shortages in materials does not make sense.
