I’m very happy to see this amendment. As a climber who enjoy getting outside for my mental health, it is important that this activity is taken seriously. Climbing has an outstanding advocacy group, and is no more dangerous than mountain biking or hiking near a cliff. Read more

DG is a popular spot for climbers in our community that provides access to a wide variety of outdoor climbs from beginner to advanced. It is an area where climbers come together to try out routes, learn new skills/techniques, and meet new climbing friends. Read more

I started rock climbing towards the end of COVID. It was a way I could be outside with those close to me while keeping each other safe. It is now my primary outdoor activity. It keeps me active and healthy and allows me to enjoy the outdoors. Read more

Devil’s glen is an incredible place to explore and the opportunity to climb on that rock is something every outdoor enthusiast should get to enjoy. Every climber I know is appreciative and respectful of the outdoors spaces we get to enjoy and Devil’s glen is no exception.

I have been a rock climber for the past 8 years. I love living in Ontario because I have access to wonderfully maintained, beautiful provincial parks. However, it saddens me that we have many land managers who are close minded to certain recreational activities. Read more

I believe that the development of rock climbing (bolting, scrubbing, developing belay areas, displacing rocks and boulders from the cliff face, trimming vegetation, etc) & the act of rock climbing should not be allowed in Provincial Parks. Read more
