To whom it may concern, I have been rock climbing outdoors for more than 15 years in Ontario and other parts of the world, and I fully support the proposed change to the Park Management Plan for Devil's Glen which legitimizes climbing. Read more

Having access to local areas for outdoor climbing has been an amazing part of living in Ontario. It's a privilege, not a right, and I understand that it's our responsibility to treat the areas we have with respect it deserves.

I am writing to support the amendment. I have lived along the highway 6 corridor for 30 years, and have been active in the Rock Climbing community for 16. It is great to see climbing added as an approved activity in the park boundaries. Read more

As a climber and nature lover, I support this amendment. Access to climbing in Devil's Glen has been contentious and it's exciting to see these types of initiatives support better access to the outdoors and what this beautiful province has to offer. Read more

I appreciate and support the proposed amendment to include rock climbing as a permitted recreational use for Devil's Glen. I, along with various climbing partners, have visited the park many times over the years to enjoy the climbs and unique beauty of the park.

The inclusion of rock climbing as a legitimate recreational activity is an excellent addition. I would recommend that the proposed amendments be updated to encourage the use of fixed anchors (bolts), even if Ontario Parks cannot take responsibility for their safety and maintenance.

Hello, I've climbed in a fair amount of places both in the States and here (NS, QC, BC, AB). I think it's really important to leave access to climbing. It allows us to be competitive with other provinces. It is an important sport for the outdoor community, and also has saved my mental health. Read more
