Dresden residents want to know how York 1 can come here and use a dormant area used for fly ash from the 1970 s and have no reassessment done?

Anyone can calculate that it's close proximity to the town of Dresden, combined with the area's history of flooding make it a very poor choice.

I am concerned about impacts to the environment and local community. Our family has lived in Dresden for generations. Everything about this feels sneaky. York1 doesn't care at all about the health of our children or impacts to local creeks or animals.

The Sydenham and species at risk are too big of a reason to allow this to happen. It is home of some of the cleanest water in Ontario and clean fresh water is in need and will be a valuable resource always.

A full complete environmental assessment must be done. This must include baseline water testing. This location is far too close to the town of Dresden, waterways and is in a floodplain. This is not a good location for a landfill.

I strongly feel that the real answer to the proposed landfill by York 1 is for the MECP to just say no! This mega dump would be far too close to the town of Dresden and poses a real threat to the health and well-being of the people.

Doug Ford is advocating that he listens to the people. If he gets it wrong he will hear about it. Well he has got it wrong about placing a dump within 500 meters of Dresden. No company should be able to avoid the rules and regulations when applying to open a dump near a community.

I support a full assessment for this landfill proposal. I am deeply concerned about the location of the dump and the proximity to the town of Dresden. There are many concerns in regards to the environment, the ecosystem, the waterways and the health of the residents in the surrounding area.

This project of should not be allowed, it is much too close to a farming community and publicans high schools. How this happened is beyond me. We are not willing hosts!!!!
Toronto and area's trash can stay in the area of Toronto. This dump will not bring many well paying jobs to the are, most truckers will be from Bramladesh and fresh off the boat working for less than minimum wage.

It is extremely important to have a comprehensive environmental assessment completed for the proposed landfill in Dresden. The location of this site is adjacent to Molly’s Creek and the Sydenham River, both sources of enjoyment/leisure for local communities. These waterways both flow into the St.
