As a resident of the north-end of town, I’m completely opposed to this. Not only does the location, in regards to the route to and from the 400 series highways, logistically make no sense, but the potential impact on Mollys Creek and the Sydenham River can’t be overlooked.

This site was never intended for the use that York 1 is proposing. With the proposed site within such close proximity to the town of Dresden, not to mention the near by creek and river this should not be allowed to move forward.

We - the residents of Dresden are not interested in rejuvenating the dormant dump - 1 km from our beautiful town. The traffic, the smells, the dangers of who knows what airborn particals will be and the dangers to our waters close and around the dump.

It has become quiet obvious over the last eight weeks that nobody from Dresden and the surrounding area wants this dump. It has also become obvious that York1 has not been upfront about any of this which tells me that they do not care about anyone or anything in the Dresden area.

- my well water
-my little town (Dresden, Ontario) and its thriving main street - increased traffic
-my grandchildren's high school and my grandchildren's grade school - increased traffic and safety

The Dresden community and surrounding area have all the same concerns, not sure why the full EA wasn’t required on the last proposal based on all of the comments rather than making us post them all again. Or better yet just reject all of the proposals and support our community and not York 1!

Chatham-Kent and Dawn Euphemia are NOT WILLING HOSTS. Sarnia, Petrolia, Dawn Euphemia and Chatham-Kent councils ALL voted UNANIMOUSLY against this proposal. Bill 197 needs to be exercised and this project needs to be halted.

A full assessment is important if this will stop the landfill from being allowed to proceed. However we don’t want it regardless.
This is extremely important to our community that this landfill not be allowed.
Period!!
This is detrimental to the residents and the environment.
I do really question why repeating the process of needing a secondary round of comments on an EA when it was announced that it would be done as well as a huge outpour for the community and surrounding areas that the dump is not wanted.

I am strongly opposed to this proposal for the following reasons:
1. the proposed dump site is too close to the town of Dresden and does not meet the standards set forth in Ontario Regulation 232/98, nor does it meet requirements of Ontario Bill 197.

We get enough of everyone else's garbage at Ridge Landfill. The source of these recycles needs to keep them in their local. The idea and site should be shut down prior to any environmental assessment is done. The people of Chatham-Kent do not want this.
