Molly’s creek is an environmentally significant area with many endangered creatures making it home. The dust and debris from the recycle material will make its way into the creek due to wind and other weather days like rain. Read more

To allow York1 to put a recycling centre / dump 1 km outside of Dresden would be an environmental disaster. Molly’s Creek runs through the property, with drains into the Sydenham river then Lake St. Clair. New laws from the Ministry of Environment state that 3.5 km is the required distance. Read more

This proposal is too close to a town, less than 1km to a town of 2700 people. This will affect every aspect of the town. Traffic, sound pollution, ground pollution, air pollution. Please keep these industries as far away from people as possible!

These people who are opposed to the expansion put their garbage out every week for pick up. Where do they think it goes? Does it just magically dissappear. There is a cost for the amount of garbage this society produces. It's called landfills!

To be frank, this facility should not be allowed to even be considered to be this close to the people of Dresden and if an Environmental Assessment will prove this...Bring it on. Read more

I am unsure why a full environmental assessment was not required at the beginning of this process. It is finally encouraging that the Ontario government/ministry is trying to do the right thing and require an assessment. Read more

New landfill capacity is a critical infrastructure need in Ontario. We are running out of capacity in our current facilities, and shipping far too much waste to the US. Read more

I totally oppose the plan by York1 to introduce and build a landfill. The ecological damage to the local watershed and the area in general cannot be allowed to advance. The noise alone of hundreds of transport trucks every day, 365 days of the year, 24 hours per day must be prevented. Read more

Let's not waste anyone's time or money. This project should not happen. Please view an aerial map and locate the homes of Dresden residents mere metres from the proposed landfill expansion on both the west and south boundaries. Read more

We don’t want a landfill beside our town. The environmental risks to everyone should be enough to stop it and the fact we live right beside it ! We are in total agreement we need an EA but not just to slow this down for years of debates. We want it to stop now. Read more
