This is really concerning. The big push to protect our environment and yet we are endorsing the burning of plastics and garbage. Many of these kilns do not have the resources In place to safely burn garbage. This puts all families at risk living close to any of these facilities. Read more

Hello, Please reconsider the decision to allow companies to burn garbage. This earth is our children and their children’s home. Burning garbage is terrible for current residents and future generations. This is not leadership - this is clearly corruption. Read more

We do not want this to be passed. We already have so much emissions and pollution from lafarge. Also it would greatly increase the local traffic with trucks which do not consider the other drivers in the roads and create so much traffic and accidents in our area Read more

I had a read through the proposal and I am concerned about the program being run by producers. Is there any oversight? Additionally, I've heard there are talks of lime kiln burning of waste, has this been approved and by whom? I have heard that these are unsafe and not effective. Read more

Please do not burn recycling or garbage in lime kilns. Burning of garbage effects the air people, animals and food crops from farmland breathe. This cannot be healthy for anyone. At the kiln in Greensville we can smell the toxic smell from the burning at night. Read more

With all due respect, please do not destroy our successful Blue Box Recycling programs that need to be expanded and improved - not cut and reduced. Our Provincial leaders need to show they are ready to keep Ontario moving forward not backward. This is the only way to build back trust. Read more
