I strongly oppose bill 5. The projects proposed by the Ford government should be subject to the same rigorous environmental protections as all others, without shortcuts that put the health of our environment and endangered species at risk.

This is not happening. We as a people and country vehemently oppose this Bill. We need to seek environmental protection and solutions. Not to strip laws and expose the soft underbelly of nature. We protect. Moving forward in society- when we know better we do better. Read more

Born and raised Ontario I strongly oppose this bill and actually would prefer stronger environmental protections and greater protection for endangered species. I oppose shortcuts for industry and oppose overriding the law in these special zones

It seems to me that these changes would enable developers to proceed in such a manner as to benefit themselves, and then report it. Maybe someone will take note; but hopefully, not. The damage will have been done. Read more

I do not support the changes to the endangered species act. Ontario should be protecting and preserving our outdoor spaces. We should not be harming or displacing endangered species for the benefit of construction projects. Read more

Endangered species don't usually live within city limits, they are found in undeveloped lands around Ontario. Building anything on undeveloped lands causes further hardship on our environment. To dilute the endangered species act is a frightful idea and one which must not proceed. Read more

As a lifelong Ontario resident I strongly oppose Bill 5. Doug Ford's government should not be allowed to bypass usual environmental protection safety nets for development on environmentally sensitive land.
