I strongly oppose this new legislation, which not only dismantles essential protections for endangered wildlife and ecosystems, but also disregards the rights and sovereignty of Indigenous communities. This bill represents a profound failure of responsible governance. Read more

The endangered species act is an imperative piece of legislation that protects species required to sustain life in our province. We as humans are connected to our environment whether we want to see it that way or not and negative impacts to the environment cause adverse implications for humans too. Read more

As an Ontario citizen, I am appalled that this is even a consideration. Removing any protection from endangered species, or anything that could negatively impact the environment is ABSOLUTELY BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE. Read more

This is a concerning move for Ontario. It is critical we keep these regulations in place to protect animals and habitats. Frankly I vote conservative frequently but am concerned that this proposal is making no effort to conserve the environment. I am requesting that you reconsider. Read more

You cannot risk the environment and these species, they are beyond important, we must always protect nature which gives up so much in return. These animals have a right to protection and it is the governments job to make sure they are.

I do not support the proposed changes and feel this would weaken protections and put Ontarios biodiversity at serious risk of harm. We have nothing without the environment. Read more

I don’t believe this proposal should be put through. Protecting species should be most important, not plowing down the environment to allow developers to reap the land of it’s benefits for material gain. Read more

I strongly opposes this legislation as it disregards the true issues that construction face. The main issue is the lack of expertise and constantly changing rules slowing down construction. Read more

This is obscene on so many levels. Gutting these eco systems will irrevocably damage our environment, harm/endanger native wildlife and worsen conditions for the public as climate change escalates. Read more

Economic growth for WHO specifically? Our children will have no home or pensions. I suppose they will have no conservations or wildlife either. The selfish never learn from the past. Pave paradise and put up a parking lot. An embarassment to Canadian values.

I strongly denounce this proposed legislation. This bill will reverse decades of conservation work, and would open up unhindered access to wide scale habitat destruction for functionally unregulated foreign and domestic mining and oil industry. Read more
