Please preserve the endangered species act. Don’t let development interfere with our precious wildlife and habitats that us humans have already destroyed. You know better. Please do better.
The definition of "habitat" being proposed in these amendments is too narrow. The existing definition of habitat can be refined without resorting to such a narrow definition that provides no meaningful protection for species at risk. As an Ontario resident, I do not support these changes.
So reading between the lines when looking at this in conjunction with Bill 5, Ontario is trying to push this as a good thing to protect animals, but really, it makes it easier for developers
Ontarians have not asked for weaker protections or less say in decisions that affect the province’s land, water and future. Bill 5 would silence community voices, marginalize science and erase decades of hard-won environmental progress.

This is blatantly corrupt. Will threaten the survival of many endangered species. And will irreversibly damage priceless archeological artifacts in the area. Not to mention the blatant disregard for indigenous lands and the disrespect for our First Nations people's. Strike this bill down right now!
