I strongly oppose Bill 5. Ontario's green spaces need more protection, not less. Environmental laws are there for excellent and necessary reasons. These essential protections for the land and its animals are not "bureaucratic red tape" and should never be treated as such.

I am completely against this act. There are plenty of other ways to build in urban/rural areas without disturbing natural habitats while protecting native land. I SAY NO TO BILL 5!!!
I think this is absolutely terrible. This new legislation is taking us backwards. We have come so far in being guardians of the land. What is going on? What about our future generations and their enjoyment of the land water and air.

In Ontario alone, there are over 230 plant and animal species that are at risk. As said by Ontario Nature "Their loss or decline affects the functioning and resilience of food webs and landscapes – jeopardizing the well-being of all living beings, including humans.".
