This is the Greenbelt scandal all over again. Our premier should not be using his power to make developer friends more rich by allowing them to build over protected land. It destroys the environment and farm land, and/or disrespects indigenous communities. The land is protected for a reason. Read more

I am deeply concerned about Bill 5, Protect Ontario by Unleashing Our Economy. I can understand that we need to protect ourselves from foreign interests but nestled in the bill is the ability to avoid or circumvent protections of endangered species and the environment. Read more

The initial proposal didn’t seem like a bad idea, however adding in the unleashing the economy act does. By doing so it’ll be harmful to endangered species, causing irreversible effects. Tgat part of the proposal should be scrapped.
