I am very concerned about the proposed amendments to the Electricity Act, which would enable the government to ban all parts of energy projects from certain countries. The Ministry of Energy and Mines’ briefing on Bill 5 gives China as an example country. Read more

I am opposed to the passage of Bill 5 as I feel it gives too much power to government, developers and corporations, while removing safeguards which are there to protect the public. It was rushed through without sufficient public education, input and debate.
