Please think twice about this proposal. This is short term, profit-based thinking that will enable corporate greed to damage and destroy our province. We should be protecting our native environment. I do not support this bill and I hope it will not move forward.

I oppose Bill 5 and the shortcuts it’s provides. Consultation should remain apart of the process to ensure transparency and clear communications. Cabinet members should not have the option to ignore any and every provincial or municipal law. Read more

I am writing to object in the strongest possible way to the proposed exemptions from the Environmental Bill of Rights that will remove the right of Ontarians to be advised of, or to comment on, any required permits at Ontario Place, on or off site, to support the project. Read more

I've lived in Toronto for my whole life, and have seen the impacts of governments and city planning officials consistently prioritizing business over the people who live here. This is another example of this same sort of priority. Read more

Nobody wants a foreign-owned, Ontario taxpayer-funded mega spa! There is no way this project should go ahead without the public having the right to comment. It certainly shouldn't be able to avoid environmental scrutiny when it's right on lake Ontario. This bill cannot pass.

I strongly object to this bill. The elimination of environmental protections for a public resource fundamentally erodes all transparency and due process that protects the democratic rights of Ontarians to know about and have input on how their tax dollars are spent. Read more
