I please ask that no more bike lanes are installed in our city of Toronto . It not safe neither for the bikes nor for the drivers . It also takes too much physical space , our streets are already over saturated with our traffic volume .
I vote against all the bike lanes .

I am writing to express my strong opposition to Bill 60. This legislation represents a significant step backward for evidence-based transportation planning, local democracy, and public safety across Ontario.

This is crazy!! Taking options away from people to get around their city will not reduce traffic and in fact will make it worse. Please, for the sake of your constituents, please, please please do not do this!!!

The traffic in Toronto is really frustrating, and owning a car is too expensive in this economy. The obesity rate is high and climate change is real, so why don't you come to your senses and increase the bike lanes like every successful European city????
Municipalities should decide how to use their travel space. As density increases across the province restricting roads to only motor vehicles will increase congestion, as has been proven over and over again and as the governments own reports have shown, for example as part of BIll 212.

As someone who bikes regularly, I’m deeply concerned about this proposal and what it means for our cities. It takes away local decision-making, even when projects are supported by residents and backed by evidence.

In urban areas reducing car lanes for multimodal transit has shown to positively impact travel times!
Please look at the research and make an evidence based decision here- cars are not the most efficient form of transit in all circumstances as this bill would suggest. This bill should not pass.

This is a terrible proposal. We should have policies that incentivize people to choose anything other than single occupancy vehicles. Other than adding bike lanes, we could have dedicated bus lanes or LRTs.

This war on bike lanes needs to stop. Ontario's congestion has much bigger issues than bike lanes in urban centres which are proven by evidence (something Ford has no interest in) to DECREASE congestion by making it safer for people to use other means of transportation besides cars.

This proposed bill will worsen traffic congestion, not reduce it---the government’s own experts have consistently said that bike lanes are not a cause of gridlock.

Bike lanes are so good for our society. They reduce traffic congestion by eliminating car use, they reduce emissions by getting people out of cars, they increase the health of residents through exercise, they promote safety of cyclists and thereby reduce hospital visits.

Hi there,
I believe that city transportation decisions should be made by the local governments, not by the province. Therefore, I do not support this proposed change.

I ride my bike daily to and from work, and on the weekends I take my daughter to swim lessons and other places on my bike. Our household doesn’t have a car. When she’s older, I hope she’ll bike to high school and to see friends and engage in activities.

Cities deserve the right to govern themselves. And the people deserve safe options for travel instead of having to rely solely on cars or Toronto's unreliable and limited public transit options.

This bill is bad for Ontario and should be killed for the following reasons:
• It strips cities of local authority and decision-making, even when projects are supported by evidence and local residents.

I speak as an Ontarian resident and voter, this Bill will overreach municipal governments' decisions , and will not fix congestion. Your own government documents even suggests that more car lanes will not fix congestion, and that reducing lanes alleviates congestion.

Cities need to be able to make decisions for themselves as to what can be built. This bill only restricts the ability for communities to decide what's best for their unique situation.

I am writing to express my strong opposition to Bill 60, particularly Schedule 5, which would prevent municipalities from reducing the number of motor vehicle lanes to create or maintain bicycle lanes.
