It is very concerning that Strada Aggregates has applied for permission to use an excessive amount of water. This will lead to wells being unable to provide the rural population with adequate water. I urge you to deny this application.
The proposal from Strada to extract 5 million litres of water per day has absolutely no rationale attached. This pit has existed for 20 + years without the need of a wash station.

I live in Melancthon Township in Dufferin County and entirely reject the application by Strata to blast into our water table and steal our drinking water for ‘washing.’ This is a completely inappropriate proposal and should be rejected immediately.
