As a rural landowner in a predominantly rural municipality/county, I am fully opposed to the amalgamation of the Conservation Authorities. We will lose our local voice and expertise to a large, regional bureaucracy.

For northern Ontario communities local conservation authorities have the knowledge of the area. Moving this to regional offices in large areas like the north will hinder the work that is done.

This is a dreadful idea. Will lead to loss of conservation land, deny most local input into CAs, and will not help address Ontario's housing problem. Another way for Ontario government to marginalize its citizens. You have lost my vote.

This is another great example of a poorly developed concept by public sector employees. With a mandate to remove red tape reduce burden, the plan does the complete opposite. In fact it will do more harm at the local level in properly managing and observing the local watersheds.

Again Ford is keeping his agenda hidden. There is no basis on true nature preservation for this amalgamation - therefore it leaves no conclusion but that Ford is after another power grab for his political friends and himself.
