I agree with the comments submitted by the Hamilton Conservation Authority and briefly share their thoughts. They are a community based conservation that we support yearly. Don't want the government fingers in there, they dont always know what's best for communities only for linning their pockets.

I do not support the merger. This is another example of provincial overreach into an area that has been well taken care of by municipalities. It is not necessary and it will reduce the amount of say that municipalities on their land. Read more

As a lifelong inhabitant of the Hamilton area, and frequent user of land maintained by the Hamilton Conservation Authority (HCA), I agree with HCA’s submission to the ERO. I am very concerned about losing local decision-making and I support keeping conservation decisions rooted in our community. Read more

I do not support this proposal, this is not an evidence based decision but a financial one, and not an effective one. Conservation authorities provide important services to their communities and rely on local community relationships. Read more
