These MZOs represent a profound override of local democracy despite Oakville’s full compliance with provincial policies and proven track record of growth and housing development. Read more

Regarding Oakville's Mid-Town development, there is no need whatsoever for any MZO's, seeing as the Town, via extensive consultation with Ward 3 residents, and the people of Oakville in general, has devised an effective development plan consistent with sound environmental principles.

These MZOs would force extreme and reckless density on Midtown, more than double that of any comparable development in the GTA, without the infrastructure to support it; creating chaos and overwhelming transportation and services that are already overstressed, including local roads, transit, the GO Read more

This Transit-Oriented Community (TOC) fails to comply with Premier Ford’s Build Homes Faster agenda and will not deliver a single home before 2031, the Province’s own housing deadline, and will take 25 years to complete. OPA70 is a better alternative and is ready to go. Read more

This plan would be terrible for Oakville. The development of Midtown is a good idea, but the Town of Oakville's approved plan would be far more effective for actually improving the town. I'm strongly opposed to the TOC, and would prefer the town's plan instead, or even just nothing at all.

This proposal is simply out of place in Oakville. The idea of putting giant 50+ story towers in the middle of a TOWN goes against everything that Oakville is, and shatters why 200,000+ residents, from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds, have chosen to call Oakville home. Read more
