I have submitted comments before. I live VERY closed to the proposed development in Oakville. I am 80 years old and have lived in this residence since 1979! I know the area! The traffic is so bad now, one can hardly move during the rush hours. Read more

These MZOs would force extreme and reckless density on Midtown, more than double that of any comparable development in the GTA, without the infrastructure to support it; creating chaos and overwhelming transportation and services that are already overstressed, including local roads, transit, the GO Read more

The proposed new plan doesn’t comply with premier Ford’s Build Homes Faster agenda and will not deliver a single home before 2031, the Province’s own housing deadline, and will take 25 years to complete. OPA70 is a better alternative and is ready to go. Read more

I have serious concerns about this proposal. My property is located in Ward 3 and within 4 km of the proposed development. During peak hours, traffic is already bumper-to-bumper. If these towers are built, congestion will become a serious problem for everyone in the area. Read more

I am totally opposed to an Ontario government directed development in our community. Our residents pay their property taxes here and they should be the ones to decide how the city is developed. Read more

This is an important project and should go ahead. The opposition to it is poorly informed and completely ignores the low inventory in Ontario housing. As for traffic congestion, there are ways to take care of it by investing in public transit.

As a resident of Oakville for the past 38 years, and a user of the infrastructure of this city, I strongly oppose the development of the 4 giant towers proposed by the Ford government. The density around that area has already peaked. Not to mention the eyesore these towers would create.

This Transit-Oriented Community (TOC) fails to comply with Premier Ford’s Build Homes Faster agenda and will not deliver a single home before 2031, the Province’s own housing deadline, and will take 25 years to complete. OPA70 is a better alternative and is ready to go. Read more

I am a longtime resident of Oakville and I disagree strongly with the proposed MZO for midtown Oakville. These MZOs would force extreme and reckless density on midtown Oakville. The MZOs also represent a profound override of local democracy. I vote NO for these MZOs.
