Please do not allow bulk water to be taken from Lake Scugog. Its already the shallowest lake in the Trent. Taking more water will mean it will become unnavigable for boaters.

I would have an objection to water being drawn out of lake scugog due to the fact we have had several years of low lake levels already and the extraction of water may hurt the existing ecosystem in the lake.
Absolutely not. Lake scugog has surrounding fish sanctuaries that would be impacted from draught in the summer when rain is low. The walleye is a closed season fish due to the health of the lake. Why make that worse for the fish?

I say no to this proposal as it will heavily affect our waterways. My home lake, lake scugog is one such listed waterway and already experiences low water levels every summer. This proposal will cause those water levels to go even lower drastically and harming the local wildlife and population.

I disagree if they are taking lake feed waters. Lake has more than enough nitrates etc... so do not want to reduce the dilution.

As a full time resident residing on the lake, I feel strongly against the removal of lake water. The amount of water that the lake is down by the end of the summer, it's already a huge amount. Between the locks opening and closing, evaporation etc.

I am extremely concerned about this application to obtain so much water when there is clearly an issue within several locations in Ontario regarding water shortages. So much so that the Government of Ontario created the Ontario Low Water Program to investigate this issue further.
